Step-by-Step: Setting up Third Party Email Configuration

Note: Before configuring your email, you must get the mail configuration from your email service. This configuration is often referred to as the MX record configuration.

  1. Log in to vSites and navigate to your Control Panel.
  2. Click Manage Domains in the Site Configuration box.

  3. Under the domain you would like to configure the email settings for, click Email Settings.

  4. By default, emails are set up to forward through vFlyer to the email address you specify when you set up your domain with vFlyer. Click the tab Use 3rd party to set up third-party email service.

    Enter the MX records you received from your email service into the two fields. Do not include the numbers (0, 10, 20) in front of the record and do not put a period at the end. Click Save when you are finished.

    The MX records shown below are those for GoDaddy. In this case, only the bolded text will be entered into the Email Settings screen.

  5. It will take about 10 minutes for the process to complete. After 10 minutes, try sending a test email to yourself to make sure it is working.
